LBA Hosts Zach Couture Benefit Golf Tournament The LBA is excited to be hosting a Golf Tournament on Friday, September 1st, at Passaconaway for the benefit 10-year-old Litchfield resident Zach Couture and his family*. The cost is $100 per person and includes 18-holes of golf with a cart, a catered meal and a chance to win prizes. The tournament will be a scramble format and offer a longest-drive hole, a 50/50 closest to the pin hole, a Monte-Carlo hole, prizes for the top finishers, and a separate raffle following the meal. Even if you don't play golf, please consider making a cash or prize donation. It can be something simple as golf balls, a cooler, or a gift certificate, or it can be a more generous contribution from your employer or neighborhood. All donations are welcome and needed. Hole sponsorships are available for a $150 contribution, which will include the price of a small sign to be posted at the hole. Corporate sponsorships are available for $500 and includes the fee for a 4-some and a hole sponsorship. Volunteers for the day will also be needed. So whatever you would like to contribute, raffle/prize items, cash or your time, call Paul or Chuck with the details. *Zach, a participant in Litchfield Baseball, continues to battle Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD), a rare inherited genetic disorder which causes gradual lose of brain function. Zach and his family will hopefully soon be home from receiving medical treatments in Minnesota, but unfortunately Zach’s Litchfield house needs a small make-over to accommodate his wheel-chair status. First and foremost, a long and expensive wheel chair ramp is needed for Zach to be able to easily enter and exit his house. UPCOMING FUNDRAISER! Looking for a fun night out to benefit a good cause?
